Your privacy is important to us. Taillogs stores all your pet data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or share any personal information without your consent.
Information We Collect
Taillogs is designed with privacy in mind. Here's what you should know:
- Pet Data: All information about your pets (names, health records, vaccinations, medications, appointments) is stored locally on your device.
- Photos: Pet photos you add are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Usage Data: We do not collect analytics or usage data about how you use the app.
Data Storage
Taillogs uses Apple's SwiftData framework to store all your pet information securely on your device. This means:
- Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.
- We cannot access, read, or recover your data.
- If you delete the app, all data stored within it will be permanently deleted.
Cloud Sync (Pro Feature)
If you use the optional cloud sync feature available with Taillogs Pro:
- Your data is encrypted before being stored in iCloud.
- Only you can access your synced data through your Apple ID.
- We do not have access to your iCloud data.
In-App Purchases
Taillogs Pro subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. All transactions are handled securely by Apple.
Third-Party Services
Taillogs does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We use the following Apple services:
- Apple Maps: For finding veterinary clinics near you (only when you use the clinic search feature).
- StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases.
- Push Notifications: For medication and appointment reminders (only if you enable notifications).
Notifications
If you enable notifications, Taillogs will send local notifications for:
- Medication reminders
- Vaccination due dates
- Upcoming vet appointments
These notifications are generated locally on your device and do not require sending your data to any server.
Security
Taillogs supports biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) to protect your pet's data. When enabled:
- The app requires authentication each time it is opened.
- Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS and is never accessible to our app.
Children's Privacy
Taillogs does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed to track pet health information, not personal user data.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
